As a former CPA, professional investor and business owner, Justin’s background is unique among most financial advisors and gives him a holistic view of your financial situation. 

Justin was previously a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Freestone Capital Management and has a deep expertise in the financial markets. When managing portfolios, he always looks at risk before the reward.  After leaving Freestone, he started his own brand of gyms which he successfully grew and exited.  Busy tending to his business and family, Justin realized that he was neglecting his own finances and understood the importance of a financial advisor.  He joined Opal to guide and alleviate the burden of managing finances so his clients can enjoy life and spend time with what is most important to them.

Justin is originally from Honolulu and graduated with a BBA in Accountancy and Japanese from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).  Justin lives in Seattle with his wife and two teenage boys and enjoys  traveling, playing basketball and golf, and as a former gym owner – exercises regularly.
